Stand Tall

This book, by Joan Bauer, is about a boy named Sam who is nicknamed Tree because he is so tall. Tree's parents got divorced, and Tree's grandfather lost a leg in Vietnam. Tree has problems with basketball. He can't make a single hoop! He wants to be a basketball star like his two older brothers, Larry and Curtis, but as hard as he tries, he can't. While his brothers are away at collage, a flood comes and ruins his house! How does Tree survive with all of his problems? You should read this book!
